Gourmet seafood
One delicious type of gourmet seafood is poached salmon
with a honey mustard sauce. Of course, there are other types of gourmet
seafood like lobster tails and crab that can be prepared, but this salmon
might be a nice change of pace for the gourmet seafood connoisseur.
Before you begin to prepare this gourmet seafood, you need to have
the following ingredients:
• 2 quarts of water; a lemon cut in half and sliced; 2 tablespoons
of chopped shallots; 1 lb. of salmon fillets with the bones removed;
3 onion slices cut in half; ¼ of a teaspoon of coarsely ground
pepper; ¼ cup of chopped fresh dill; 1 teaspoon of grated lemon
peel; and 2 teaspoons of capers.
It is likely that you will need to purchase some of these items unless
you make a lot of gourmet seafood and already have the herbs and spices
you need.
To prepare this gourmet seafood dish, heat the shallots, water, lemon
slices and dill in boiling water in a 10-inch skillet for about three
minutes. After the three minutes is up, reduce the heat to the medium-low
level and add the salmon. After the salmon has been added, it should
be covered and cooked until the it flakes easily with a fork. This typically
takes about five minutes.
When preparing the honey mustard sauce, combine two tablespoons of
honey, 1 tablespoon of mustard and one tablespoon of olive oil. Mix
the ingredients until well blended and then pour on top of the salmon.
